I'm looking for flights to HK out of Narita. I'm wondering if it would be cheaper to wait standby (as I am traveling alone) or book my ticket online? Its cheaper for me to book a round trip but, I will be arriving in Tokyo from Seoul. If I buy a round trip and only use it for one way will I be under some kind of questioning? If anyone knows a cheaper fare to HK from Narita less than $1100 please let me know.

I'm also looking for cheap flights out of tokyo but to Saigon (ho chi minh city). I went to a japanese travel agent here in sydney and they said a return ticket from Tokyo is $860 inc tax BUT i may be able to get better deals in japan.

I'd rather not wait til i get there to see as the $860 price is 2 weeks advance booking.

So check out a local japanese travel agent, they may have better prices.

Is there someone from japan willing to help us out by checking with their local travel agent in japan for prices? Tokyo to HCM return, depart 15 june, come back 22 June?

I've used all of these agencies before, one time or another, on my trips abroad from Japan. They are competitive and offer great rates. $1100 to HK sounds $$$ to me. Maybe that's high season??
