Nazca Sandboarding in Nazca?
Posted: Mon March 26, 2007 04:08 PM UTC
Hello.

Is it possible to do Sand boarding in Nazca? So far, I've only read about sandboarding in Ica, although I think I've read that Nazca is very near the Cerro Blanco? Will it be too difficult for beginners?

Otherwise, is there any affordable one way "package" available which brings me from Lima to Ica for Dune buggy rides and then ends in Nazca, all in one day?

Thanks.

Sure, you can do sandboarding in Cerro Blanco, Nazca. You can get to Cerro Blanco from Nazca in 30 minutes aprox. (in car). It's a bit difficult, and you can get to the top in 3 hours of walking. The length of one of the splopes is about 1 kilometer, so a lot of fun should be expected. I recommend you to start at 4:30 AM from Nazca (It's because the sun, is too strong).

Otherwise, You can ride Boogies in Ica, and you can do Sandboarding too near to Huacachina Oasis. You can't go from Lima===>Ica===>Nazca because Nazca is located at 6 hours from Lima, and you won't have enought time to do all in one day.

Drop me a few lines if you need more info. brunorocca@hotmail.com

There is an alternative you can flight from Lima to Nazca
maybe $100 is affordable for you, if not you should stay one night in Nazca

Hi BrunoRocca,

Thanks for the info. I'll be staying over in Nazca for one night only, and I already have the Nazca flight lined up for the morning. I guess sand boarding would be out. At least there are sights around Nazca which I can visit.
