What is the approx driving time from Stony Plain to Red Deer? And what is the best route? Thanks.

Probably about two hours driving.
Fastest way is to drive north on highway QE 2 till you get to Edmonton and then follow the signs for highway 16 west. There's a new interchange on the south edge of the city that takes you around the southern and western outskirts so you can by-pass traffic and endless red lights.
