I will be in San Sebastian in July 2007 and would like to make a day trip to Lourdes France from San Sebastian. I am having difficulty finding information about direct bus or train connections. Can anyone help with the best way of getting there/back, with details of which bus company or train station?

There is a train connection. You can access it in English at http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en

So far as I know there is only one train station in Lourdes. Don't know about San Sebastian.

In summer there is a direct bus service from San Sebastian to Lourdes at weekends. The bus company is Pesa (www.pesa.net) and departures are from PIO XII bus station.

I am looking to do the same thing on 26-Jan. Did you make the trip? How did you go? Any other advice? Thanks much.

We drove to Lourdes from Canet Plage and we had a leased car. It gives you a lot of freedom although train or bus would be more practical if you weren't vacationing for a month or more.
