Kaunas - Riga bus

Labas!
I will need to travel to Riga and would like to ask Kaunas insiders about bus connections from Kaunas to Riga about 5 pm (Warsaw via Sestokai train arrives at 4:28 pm). The Kautra webpage does not show detailed schedule nor prices.
I will be thankful for the assistance in that matter,

Hi/Czesc,

I know only that there is at night Eurolines bus (Tallinn)-Riga-Kaunas-Warsaw. It arrives to Kaunas at night time. Dont know about 5 pm.

Oh...you have checked Kautra, but it's better checking through Eurolines:)

Hello, even I am not Kaunas insider, but I have some info for you ;-)
There are two posibilities to get to Riga from Kaunas. There is not direct buss to Riga, but you can take Eurolines buss from Vilnius or Panevezys. My idea is that the best for you is to go from Kaunas to Panevezys there is buss from Kaunas to Panevezys at 17:30 and you will be in Panevezys at 19:40. There is buss from Panevezys to Kaunas 20:00. Then you are in Riga at 22:30. The same buss is starting from Vilnius at 18:00, so I think it is better for you to catch the buss already in Panevezys, not to go to Vilnius. There is another buss from Vilnius at 21:00 and it comes to Riga at 1:00 in the night.
The buss station and railway station in Kaunas are very near to each other.
If you have some questions, you can ask me, or directly call to Eurolines information +370 37 409070 (for international busses), +370 37 409060 for busses in Lithuania. In Kaunas buss station I supose you can buy already ticket for Panevezys - Riga, so you don't need to be woried if you have a place in the buss from Panevezys.
