Getting to Faro from Spain

Greetings:

Can anyone tell me whether it is feasible to go from Cadiz to Faro? If so, how? Perhaps Sevilla is a better departure city for getting to Faro.

Also, any insights on nightlife and beaches in Faro is much appreciated.

dON'T KNOW ABOUT SPANISH SIDE BUT VILLA REAL ON BORDER PORTUGAL SIDE HAS RAILWAY STATION ABOUT 10MIN WALK FROM FERRY CROSSING. APPROX HOURLY DAYTIME DIRECT TRAIN TO FARO APPROX 10 EUROS. BUS STATION ALMOST AT SIDE OF TRAIN STATION (TURN RIGHT AT ENTRANCE) AND SHORT RIDE TO FARO BEACH 2.5 EUROS 10MINS.
