Does anyone have any suggestions for dining near the paradise peir hotel? We are staying there soon. We are a family of five so it would have to be fairly cheap :)

I am assuming you are talking about the Paradise Pier Hotel at Disneyland Resort.

You are at one end of the Resort at the other end of Downtown Disney is Harbor Blvd, so it is a good 15-20 minute walk. But this has all of your standard chain resturants(Mc Donalds, Denny's, IHOP, Mimi's Cafe) and a couple other smaller places. This would be the cheapest places you could eat.

There are also several places in Downtown Disney that will be less than inside the Parks: Ralph Bermans(New Orleans), Napolini(Italian), La Brea Bakery(Sandwiches), Tortilla Joe's(Mexican). All of these places have Counter Service as well as Table Service. You might like ESPN Zone, it is relativly inexpensive table service and decent food.
