Planning-tips Yantgtze (Beijing-Xian-Chengdu-Shanghai-Beijing) Posted: Mon March 19, 2007 08:39 AM UTC
Hi
I would like to visit The Small Three Gorges and Three Gorges Dam Projekt on our journey in China.
The plan is to go to Beijing, Xian, Chengdu and Shanghai and then back to Beijing.
In no particular order.
We will travel mostly by train.
No tickets are yet bought.
In what order should we go to make the journey to Yangtze so time-efficient as posible?
How should we travel (cost is importent, and so is time to)?
I read on discoveryangtze.com about a 2 day-tour.
Chongqing-(Wanzhou-The Small Three Gorges-Three Gorges Dam)-Yichang.
Anybody tried it?
Any suggestions on how to go to and from Chongqing/Yichang?
Train, bus, plain?
Or should we skip our Yangtze-projekt and fly/go by train from Chendu to Shanghai.
We will spend a lot of time on the road (3 weeks) and I'm not sure the experience will be worth the money and time spent on the "Yangtze-projekt".
Any thoughts about this?
regards
Aleatic
