I´m planning on flying to Vilnius or Riga and wonder if anyone can tell me what is the easiest & most reasonable connection Vilnius or Riga to Kaliningrad. Train, bus or what have you...

You can fly from Riga on Air Baltic

If you are coming from the UK, you can get a cheap flight into Kaunas, and get a coach to Kaliningrad. (Ryanair) As I recall seeing some where, The visa for Kaliningrad is easier and cheaper than Russia itself, but you do need one.
