hi,
4 seasons is located at top of tourist strip (east side) a nice hotel and have stayed there overnight (i live here) there was a weddding going on and was beutifully decorated and food looked outstanding also has a beautiful pool. pub on oposite side of road (chasers)run by liz and ian (scots) is a great family pub. taxi into main tourist area approx 5.00 (discos, nightclubs etc)tip bring plenty of summer clothes its still in the 40s in sept, try not to carry credit cards when you go out only cash although rare we have had a few muggings

Hi,
I live in Limassol and am a member on a number of forums here. There is a lady called Evelyn, who arranges weddings and will also do extras or "add ons" for those who have a wedding pre-booked but want to do a nice meal etc...

She has a webpage but it isn't active - it does give her email address there. She is English and is really nice. There are some very nice restaurants in the Old Town, which will probably be much more traditional and not so expensive as the Four Seasons.

Her web address is: http://www.cyprus4weddings.com/

Congratulations & good luck.

It will still be hot here in September so be prepared. We got married in Paphos on 1 November and it was still in the low 80's then!

Regards
Michele

Hi Caroline,

You wanted details on restaurants in Limassol?

There are lots of restaurants on the seafront in Limassol - the seafront road spreads for quite a long way so you will find all sorts of places to eat. The big hotels have started to have independant restaurants situated within them now and there is quite a reasonably priced Japanese restaurant at the Apollonia Hotel (mid way between Ayios Tychonas and the Old Town).

For a very reasonable restaurant - situated off the main tourist road, try Lysiotiki Taverna. Traditional Cyprus food about 10 minutes drive from the seafront. This link will take you to a site where you can even read the menu before you visit - http://www.cypruseatout.com/restaurant.php?restaurantid=117

But, if you want something completely different - and rather than Cypriot/Greek cuisine, I would suggest trying the Lebanese meze at Franks situated on the same street as the Ajax Hotel (Linopetra). Take the road up to the right from the seafront by the Holiday Inn hotel until you reach the T junction at the traffic lights. You will see 2 banks on the other side of the road (Bank of Cyprus & Laiki Bank) - 1 on each corner. Take the road that runs in between both of the banks. The restaurant is about 200yds up on the left hand side - more of less opposite the Ajax Hotel. Drinks are not cheap - but the food is to die for....

Other than that, there is a very good pub/restaurant called Jimmys and he does set 3 course meals for around CyŁ6.00 - it is on the seafront and on the right hand side if you are coming from Four Seasons towards the tourist strip. It is just after the Macdonalds about 100yds further along.

Have a great time!

Regards
Michele

Hia,
Did you get married yet?
I am getting married at the chapel of the Four Seasons next Sept 09. We are having an Anglican civil ceremony and doing the legal stuff here in Ireland.
We are only staying at the Four Seasons for 2nights and going all inclusive in another hotel
How are you getting on with Flowers, cakes, dj and everything else?
Any advice would be greatfully appreciated, i have been to Ayia Napa, so i know how beautiful the place is,we should have nice photos.
Donna
