Manila Makati to Clark Airport Transportation
Posted: Fri March 16, 2007 09:34 AM UTC
Hi, I will be travelling to Manila in about 10 days and would be arriving/departing via Clark Airport (Angeles City).

Since I'm flying on Air Asia, they have coached that go to SM Megamall.

i) What's the fair price for taxis between SM Megamall to Renaissance New World Hotel in Makati? How long would the journey take? (I anticipate arrival at SM Megamall around 2pm on a Monday)

ii) Departure - My flight from Clark is at 11am. I have 2 choices, eitehr to catch the same coach from SM MEgamall (300 pesos), or perhaps taxi direct from the hotel to Clark. What would the taxi fare be and when should I leave the hotel? Or should I take a taxi to SM Megamall and catch the coach at 6am??

Appreciate any feedback.

The taxi fare between Megamall and your hotel should be between 100 - 200 pesos. Since you're going southbound on EDSA (the main avenue to Makati) in the afternoon traffic should be light to moderate so travel time would be around 15 mins. As to your departure, it is still advisable to take the coach from Megamall.

On my last few trips to Manila (within the city) I have simply told the driver to use the meter and thought the fare was decent. Years ago I used to haggle over the price, now I tell the driver to use the meter, if the driver wants to haggle I catch another taxi cruising by. My taxi rides to the airport and around to the same places I used to go to without using the meter, are now cheaper.

I agree with the first reply... the taxi would cost 200 max... i take a taxi from qc to the airport, it's less than 200.. so it should be between 100-200 for you. Definitely take the coach from sm early in the morning... it would be very expensive to take a taxi from manila to clark
