Hi!I've researched about Palau few months ago because I wanted to go as well. Here's very helpful link http://www.visit-palau.com , you'll find the answers of your questions.Visa is upon arrival,so you don't need to get in advance. You can also call their embassy

I'm not sure about visas for Pilipinos, but almost all the "dirty work" on the island is done by the quite huge Filipino community, so try to get in touch with one of your countrymen there. I had a couple of email addresses, but a couple of years have passed since my visit, so...
Beware that Palau is not cheap though - most of the tourists stay in Koror where the cheapest places go for around $35. There's almost no nice beaches in and around Koror, the only beach front resort is Palau Pacific Resort in well above $200 price range.

When do you plan on going there? I may be going there at the end of this month. Maybe we can share some costs.
You can get a visa on arrival.

I'm also interested in travelling there from the Philippines as there are some great deals on flights. It certainly sounds as though things are more expensive though. Does anyone know of a low priced but clean guesthouse? I don't need aircon or hot water, but not keen on sharing bathrooms.
