I have to say Friday would be better for me, but I'm not sure I could make either as I get off of work after 7 every day. Still, keep me posted as I'd love to join you if I could.

there also seems to be some tailgating (don't know what that means, but I am sure its fun) on the 29th..I will look around for that posting..so I miss everything I am in town the 26 to 29th oh well, keep me posted

Do you have any idea what would be on the agenda? I know of a place that has been rave reviews, great middle eastern food, and even entertainment (belly dancing I think). The place is called Lola's. I'll try to get some more info about it. My ex boss loved this place.

Are they open on a Monday?
Right now it looks like there will be things done each of these nights. Whoever can make each is welcome to.

I couldn't find the place on the web, I plan to take a stroll over there one day after work and keep the lowdown for you guys. I would think that they are open on Mondays, but I will verify that sometime next week. The nice thing about the area (West End Ave, between Chanal and Chambers) is that there are plenty of places within walking distance from Lola's that we can do a "pub-crawl".
I can tell you this about the places in this area, they are usually hang-outs for the after work crowds...
More info to follow, in the meantime, is there any other place you would suggest?

Ok. Still looking up info on Lola's for Monday. Just added that to the calendar page.
As for friday night. Would anyone who said they can come Friday mind if it were saturday night instead? Just feeling this out. If there are conflicts it will remain on Friday.
I am planning on doing both of these dates to get as many in as possible.

No wonder I couldn't find the place, I had the name all wrong, glad that I had the sense to contact my ex-boss, duh...anyway, I have been to the Bubble Lounge across the street (they serve a few hundred different types of Champagne, just G_G place, remind me next time she is in town to take her there). Down the block is a place called Teddy's (has the crown of the statue of liberty on the front) great atmosphere as well, so the location is great!!!

Either Friday or Saturday would work. However I would have a slight preference for Saturday.

The Fri or Sat sounds fine. Would prefer Sat.
By the way, speaking of that weekend, I will be in Queens either or both Sat / Sun (most likely Sun - may need to rest up for Sat) to watch some of the qualifier tennis matches and pro practice tennis sessions at the US Open before the event starts on Monday.
The Sat and Sun before the US Open starts is always good to go to since it's free to get in the complex and you are free to roam around to watch pros and up and coming juniors practice around the complex. Hmm - may need to add this free tip on my NY page.
