I'm flying into Malaga next week & meeting some friends for a weeks vacation. My plane arrives 3 hours before theirs. Is there time for me to leave the airport for some sightseeing and get back in 3 hours? Any suggestions are appreciated.

the bus takes 20 mins to the center from the airport but there is a lot of building work at the airport and so may be better to stay at the airport

Perhaps there is a place in the city where they could meet you once they arrive, like the Picasso Museum? That's what I would try to do instead of sitting in the airport for three hours.
