| Reykjavík | Whale watching and Aurora Borealis Posted: Wed March 7, 2007 11:35 AM UTC
Hola all
I understand that it all boils down to luck, but what do you think my chances of seeing whales and the Aurora Borealis are over Easter? April seems to be the beginning of the whale watching season, and the end for northern lights. Thanks. |

You summerized it well.... It's all down to luck.
For the aurorae borealis, you need a cloudless sky, darkness (outside town -> urban lighting makes it more difficult to spot) and patience... For the whales, you can just cross your fingers. I think Elding (www.elding.is) propose you to come out with them the following day if you do not spot whales.
