Kelowna pesticides

Hi,

I am considering visiting Kelowna in the spring and summer. Does anyone living there or visiting there notice the smell of pesticides in the air? Thank you very much.

The further south you go/and into the hills out of town the worse it is.

A friend of mine as hospitalised in Osoyoos because he couldn't breathe-he was told it was a common occurrence there.

So stay close to the lake and you should be ok.

It's a problem that a lot of people are in denial about-you are right to be concerned.

It shouldn't be a problem for you in the city. As others have said, the further out of town you go to the orchards, (Osoyoos area is ALL orchards) the more you might find it an issue. But more & more orchards & vineyards are going organic so it is improving. A bigger problem for people with respiratory issues is the burning in the spring, but that has now ended for the season.
