What do people recommend doing in and around St. John's for a couple of days. How many days do you need in the area?

Thank you

Hi there!

I live about an hour outside of St. John's, and have spent alot of time there...lived in the city for 4 years. If you like to party, George Street is a must. It is one of the most concentrated bar areas in the world...i.e. most bars per square foot or something like that. Friday and Saturday nights there are the best..part. Saturday.

There is lots of great shopping in the downtown district (Water and Duckworth) if that's what you're into.

Pretty much, St. John's is best enjoyed from downtown. he newer parts of the city are much the same as any other urban centre.

Hope this help a little
Jason

Definitley do downtown, day and night. Also, take a drive up to the top of signal hill for a great view of the city. Bowering park is a really nice walk around too. For a truly traditional lunch, make sure you order deep fried fish french fries, dressing and gravy. and a beer.

have fun, you'll love us
