I think you should be there within 30 - 45 min. I can't remember exactly.

Think its about 45 minutes... depends too what the traffic is like, and weather, and if any wildlife is giving anyone heartfailure! One of the last times I was up that way, about 5-10 minutes east of Huntsville a deer almost hit the car in front of me - just bounded out of nowhere! The deer was ok, the driver had no chance to even react, it had happened so fast... it was scary! Then I saw another deer contemplating doing the same thing to me!

Yeah, Jane, that is certainly a close call. I saw a similar incident a few years ago. It was at night and I saw something ran quickly in front of the car in front of us. Then a pair of reflecting eyes looked at us. Had the deer ran across a sec later, it would have been hit.

Do stay within the speed limit when driving in the country roads up there.

Would Huntsville be a good destination for a (one night) stay to visit Algonquin Provincial Park next day ??
Or is it possible to find accommodation in the park ??

Any recommendations ??

Depends on what your budget is. Yurts (a tent structure with bunk beds, heat and light) must be booked months ahead as there are only a few of them. At the higher end, there are some inns inside the park. They are certainly more centralized than staying in Huntsville. Of course, the cheapest way is camping. I have more info about accomodation in my Algonquin page.
