Hi. My husband and I would love to meet with a fellow traveller. No problem with Silay, lots of jeepneys go to Silay which is 15 min away, one way fare probably PHP15. La Carlota you might have to take a bus. Lots of buses every half hour. Its 30 min away. First time to Bacolod?

Hi Jenny,
Sayang, I wanted to join the meeting too but my fiance and I will be arriving on the April 20 and will leave on the 21st baka I can have a separate meeting :-) I've been to Bacolod 3x or so when I was working in the Training Dept of FEBTC and I always couple Bacolod with a short side trip to Iloilo. What bus goes to La Carlota and can I go there to see the locomotive without appointment? Love the products of ANC!! Thanks. Jing

Do you know I have never seen the locomotive in La Carlota but that sounds interesting and I will ask. Ceres bus is the most popular and they have their own terminal. The only time we go to La Carlota is to visit Guintubdan Falls.
Oh sure. We'll be here the 20th. On the 21st, the hubby and I have a road trip scheduled for sipalay. We're a boring couple and we usually stay at home, so any reason to go out is quite welcome. Meeting a fellow traveller seems like a good reason, di ba? :)

Thanks Jen. See you on the 20th. I'll email you my cellphone number when the date is near. We might arrive by 7 pm because the flight out of Manila is by 5 pm. I must agree with homepage comment that you looked like a cool couple riding that motorbike.
Enjoy your trip to Pagudpud, a scenic coastline view!

I got the info on the locomotive. The "iron dinosaur" used to be located inside the central but its now been transferred to the entrance near Eusebio Subdivision which is just along the main road as you get into La Carlota. No appointment needed as its a stand alone thing. No stand, no brochure no guide, no tourist support stuff. You can't miss it. Just tell the conductor you want to get off by the locomotive. The bus will stop.

not really, the thought of looking over 3 boisterous boys is not exactly tempting. :) We're taking Cebu Pacific connecting flight so I don't think I'll have time. When we're not travelling with the kids I'll bug you with a meet. hee
