Hi Lev, Thanks so much for your inputs.

My decent i meant clean, safe and friendly. I should have been more specific :-) I'm wondering if I can get some B&B or an apartment for 3-4days costing between 50-80$ per night?

Also if veg food (no fish/ meat) tough to get in moscow?

Thanks so much for your help again.

As for veggies, there hardly many specific places, I know a couple but they are pretty scattered around downtown.
If you wish I can give you names but in any case almost any restaurant can provide yuu with some veggie dishes (like salads, backed/fried vegitables, vegi pastas, etc.)

Hi,
Hotels in Moscow are very expensive, espessially in the center or near the center of Moscow.

You can try http://www.napoleonhostel.ru/
As far as I know it is the hostel in the very center of Moscow. A bed in the room costs 700 rubles (21 Euro). In rooms about 7 - 8 beds. They give visa support as well.
You can study website, or can send request to e-mail info@napoleonhostel.com
(Tel +7 495 628 66 95).

There is site Moscowapartments.net, where you can reserve the apartments in Moscow. I used this services several times, it is a good company. However, prices for apartments are about 85-140 Euro per night.

Check also cheap hotels:

Have a nice trip to Moscow!

I have the same problem, going in April. If you fly to SVO airport(MOSCOW) stay away from taxi's. Well known tip on this site. Hotels are up ther is price (USD) better deals in NYC during the weekday. Driving? BEWARE. I have to drive from SVO airport to the hotel located just 18klm away. A local business person said its hell driving around Moscow. Look up the Weather channel before travel.
