I am planning a trip to Camden Yards this summer. Can you suggest a good place to stay outside of the city that would allow us to take a train to the ballpark? What towns would be good choices, and what train would we need to take to get to the inner harbor and the ballgame? The hotels near the stadium are booked/and or too expensive!
Thanks! |

You need to look at a map of the light rail http://www.mtamaryland.com/services/lightrail/ and go from there. You could stay out by the airport, BWI, which is south of the city and has quite a few hotels, or go north and stay somewhere like Hunt Valley. There are, of course, places in between, but those areas have a few hotels....
You could also look at the MARC commuter rail, on the Camden Line, but that only runs during the week, and fairly limited hours.

My advice is to stay at Hampton Inn, Hunt Valley MD. It is a nice hotel, reasonable rates and is less than 1 mile from Light Rail which will take you right to the ballpark. Plenty of shopping and restaurants adjacent to the Light Rail station.
