Hi there I am travelling to Puerto Plata with my family in April and I was just wandering if anyone could tell me the best things to use to avoid getting bitten by Mosquitos I am worried as I have a 19 month old child and I dont want him bitten.

hello, we just got back from breezes puerto plata a few days ago and saw no mosquito's we did however take malaria pills..their were many babies at our resort and i think a bug repellent will be fine. just dont go into the woods or brush area's see your doctor if your worried most people that we met were not taking any precautions as they were informed by their doctor's that their was no need...hope this helps and you will love your vacation..punta cana the other side of the island had some cases but that was a few months back
