I'm looking for a place in manaus to stay for about 3 to 4 months. Where can I stay? How much will it be? I just need A/c and a bed. Thanks |

It is not likely that you will find air conditioning in Manaus. Brasilians don't usually have it as they are used to the intense heat. If you want long-term accomodations, make friends! Brasilians are the most hospitable people in the world. There's plenty of inexpensive accomodation.Ask at the Turismo. Get a guide book!Go online! Boa Sorte!

I am staying at Hotel Premier on Avenida Eduardo Ribeiro, #125. This neighborhood is right in the heart of Manaus, almost like a qasbah. I have a clean room, with a private bath, AC, TV, a refrigerator, a balcony and free breakfast. The usual rate is 35 reais per day, about $18. But, by agreeing to pay by the month, they let me have it for $600, about $320. Let me know if I can be of any assitance: udikeyes@yahoo.com
