BTW - there is a way to get pretty close to people from NK, live with them for 8 or so days under the same roof and under certain conditions (too big crowd) an Amarican can be forced to live with, say, a NK villager in the same room for about 8 days. All this without even applying for a NK visa or entering NK at all.
A friend of mine did it recently paying about 200 Euro (=260 USD) for this. Nothing spectacular really and nothing mysterious. Here are the pictures:
