hello all. just wondering about a few details of a ferry from venice to porec. im planning on doing this in early june,and was wondering if this is something that i should book (due to it being the begginning of summer)or is it something i can just book on the day. any help would be greatly appreciated

The big advantage of pre - booking is that it saves a lot of time at check in plus you are not worrying about there being sufficient availability. Also they ferry company keep you up to date with any problems such as high seas or cancellations if you have pre booked. I think they will still take you by road if you have pre booked and the service is cancelled, but not if you just turn up. It is a couple of years since I last did that crossing (September) and the boat was nearly full of day trippers from Croatia visiting Venice.

how long was the trip and howlong did you get in Venice, also was the landing far from the main attractions, ie St Mark's square etc, and was this easy to get there. what was the approx price?
