We will be at Barcelo Solymar in April with 2 teenagers- any words of advise - what to do & see? any tips on trying to get great rooms?

Hi there,
Well first of all you are sure to have a wonderful time and if your teens are open minded to having fun they will to. We are going back to this same resort in early May and are so looking forward to it. Some suggestions:

1) The a la carte restaurants are great and a nice break from the buffet. Book them as soon as you can for the entire week. They are all great. each one of the three for the week.

2) Take the double decker bus which you can catch just opposite the hotel ( out the front to the left It is cheap ). It will be your best bargain all week. You can get on and off anywhere and get to see lots of the area. As I recall it runs 9am to 9 pm

3) Take a trip to Havana. It is a wonderful experience and you will never forget it. We took the bus tour last time but this time we will try to rent a taxi for the day to go there.

4) The bikes are free for the first hour so take them and drive the back streets of Varadero. You will not be disappointed. The Park is a nice visit as is the market.

5) Smile at the staff and strike up a pleasant conversation. They will treat you with TLC during your stay. They are wonderful people. They will appreciate all gigts and tips but will not treat you better for them. They will be wonderful always.
