I am travelling to Visegrad in May and am having problems finding a place to stay for a few nights. I would appreciate any recomendations as well as travel tips.

Hi,
I am affraid that you will have a hard time finding appropriate accommodation in Visegrad. They do have a small motel "hotel okuka" but it is prety old and run down. You don;t have to make reservations as they probably have only one guest. Your other option is to go to the nearest restaurnat when you get there and they will help you find something.

There is a decent accomodation in Visegrad. Beside Motel "Okuka", which is the worst one, altought it is cheap and clean, and it was built 4 years ago, there is a Hotel Visegrad, near the old bridge, which is under general renovation, and will be oppened on May 1st 2008. Also, there are a private apartments "Aura", with airconditioning, cable TV and jaccuzi. 5 kilometers from the center of Visegrad there is a Visegradska spa, with hotel "Vilina vlas",situated in a pine tree forest, with indoor pool with mineral water, sauna, etc. If you have any questions, or help about stay in Visegrad you can write on visitvisegrad@gmx.com
