Albuquerque Clubhouse Inn and Suites

Does anyone know if this is a good hotel for a one night stay? How is the location? It seems to have good reviews on another travel board but I can't find anything on this site. Thanks.

You did not say what you were going to do while your here. If your just going to stay the night, that area is OK. And your a short drive to anywhere in the city from that area. I have never stayed at the hotel but it looks new. Just east on Manual you will find a lot of hotels and places to eat. Enjoy your stay.

Thanks for your reply. We will be coming back from visiting the Santa Fe and Taos areas. This will be the tail end of our trip so we wanted a place close to the airport with reasonable rates. Hopefully, we will be able to see the things around Albuquerque on our front leg of the trip and end of our trip.

Actually after doing a little research on this hotel, it really sounds like a good choice unless you are afraid of ghosts (it is near a large cemetery). Seriously, it is a good choice. Normally I would not recommend a location west of I-25 and near downtown, but I think the Clubhouse Inn is probably fine. A quick check on Travelocity showed uniformly high recommendations and a good price. If you go west on Menaul to Rio Grande Blvd., it is not that far to Old Town. If you east on Menaul, it is not that far to the new ABQ Uptown area (Albuquerque's "Scottsdale"). A quick trip up I-25 to the Alameda Exit (then west) will get you to the Balloon Fiesta Museum. Also, it is not very far south on I-25 to reach the airport. With a free hot breakfast and evening happy hours, I think you have made a "find." Please let us know how you liked it.
