My fiance and I are planning our honeymoon in St. Lucia (Ti Kaye Village) during mid September. I am a bit nervous about the weather -- considering it is hurricane season, as well as rainy season. I've read that the rain only last for up to a half hour tops. Is this true? Do you think the weather will be fine around this time? Any additional info would be helpful.

Don't worry overly about the weather - I spent 8 years in St. Lucia and never experienced extreme weather. Ti Kaye is fabulous - you have chosen a lovely low key personable place. Enjoy!

It can rain heavily any time of year in St. Lucia. Sometimes the weather is gloomy for the entire day. There is no way to tell what the weather will be like in September but for the most part, however, the weather is wonderful here. The "hurricane season", shouldn't conjure up images of daily hurricanes and violent weather. It is simply a time of year when hurricanes form in the Atlantic Ocean and may hit the Caribbean. That shouldn't stop you because the weather is typically sunny even during the rainy season. And there is nothing wrong with the rain. There is nothing wrong with a cooling shower. Hope that helps.

Don't even make that a factor. The weather is great all year round! Yes, there is the odd rainy day but it's certainly not torrential.
