HELLO: GOING BY CRUISE SHIP TO COLON...ONE DAYER...SHOULD I RENT A CAR OR TRY AND USE A TAXI OR TAKE A TOUR? MY HUSBAND IS A LITTLE TESTY ABOUT SITTING ON A TOUR BUS OR BOAT FOR 8 HOURS OR SO.

use a taxi or take a tour, you can find 4 hours tours.

LOL - Your husband sounds like a friend of mine, too impatient to sit very long!
In addition, you could take the train to PC and back, there are short bus tours and buses that go direct to PCColon without stops, also. Tell your husband to relax and enjoy! Panama is very laid-back, not the place for Type A personalities to visit!
