HI! The fastest way is by plane... Gol and Tam will bring you there from Salvador.
I took an overnight bus from Salvador to Ilheus, (Viacao Aguia Branca), the trip lasts 8 hs. Then you stop in Ilheus, if you want to explore it before gng to Itacare is a nice thing to do. I didnt, because i was dying to arrive at Itacare! Its a lovely place! Orrr you can go until Morro de Sao Paulo, spend some time there, take the boat to the next city and from there go down to Itacare, 4hs drive i guess, i took the car on this way, so im not sure how long the bus would take... Hope you enjoy ur trip! regards, schnai
