Hi,
Milano has 3 airport. From all airport you have shuttle bus to Milano main railway station (from Linate airport a local bus and subway). From the railway station you have trains every hour to Padove, the railway line is Milano ==> Venezia. The cost of the train is EUR 18,30 2nd class Inter regional train (more stops), about 2 hours and 50 minutes, or EUR 22,50 2nd class with Intercity, about 2 hours and 30 minutes. Venezia is near Padova, about 30 kilometres. From venezia airport you have a bus to the railway station of Venezia Mestre and from there a 20 minutes train to Padova. Have a nice stay Giorgio

The only website I found in english is Padova University.
http://www.unipd.it/en/index.htm Being Padova a University town is easy to find a room with our student, expecially during the summer, when a lot of student will finish the courses. I suggest you to find a B&B for 1 week and to look for a place when you will be there. http://www.bookings.org/index.en.html?aid=303341 http://www.bed-and-breakfast-in-italy.com/bed_and_ Giorgio

There is a nice hostel in Padova that would serve you well until you can find a place to stay for longer. I know most people think hostels are usually disgusting, but this was a very nice one. Ostello cita di Padova www.ostellopadova.it
