Lake District National Park Windermere
Posted: Tue February 20, 2007 04:28 PM UTC
Taking my mum to Windermere for the day by train , she'll be in a wheelchair.
Any tips for good views and pubs/cafes for lunch - she likes more old fashioned than posh - open fires in the pubs etc.
Thanks, Michael

Hiya Michael, lots of that sort of stuff in Windermere, its not a big place and it should be easy to find what you want.

For the lake (and a boat trip?) you need to go down into Bowness but it is hilly (apart from the shore) and you may need to get into a taxi
