Taba Travel Forum

Hi, We are a family of four and in march will be going to cairo. we will then take a hired car and go to taba for two days. My question is if there are any flights that go from taba to tel aviv? If not can I rent a car after we pass into Israel and how far of a drive would it be to TelAviv?

Well, the bad news is that Taba Airport is not really in Taba but almost 40 km away on the Sinai plateau at Ras al Nakb - and there are no flights from there to Tel Aviv.

The good news is that you do have buses, rent-a-car services and flights from Eilat just over the border. Best post this question on the Eilat forum.

If you have a car then make the most of it and do not drive direct from Cairo to Taba but go southwards a bit and up through St Catherine, then down to Nuweiba and up to Taba. You ll be able to visit all the sites and do a bit of relaxing on the beaches at Nuweiba.
