Is there a place to store luggage at the Villach hbf for 4 hours during a layover? Luggage would consist of two wheeled carry-on bags for airlines.
Second question: any good recommendations for local food, good tasty beer and places to visit during these few hours? Thanks in advace! |

normally each trainstation in Austria has automatic machines and Villach is a major station so it should be there as well ! Make sure you have coins ready, it varies on the size and will be between 2,50 and 4 euros.

Quite a typical regional food are "Kasnockn" (Cheese Dumplings). It is a rather heavy food. And beer is good to it. The best beer in the region is "Hirter". Different sorts of it, if you like dark beer try "Hirter Morchl" which is in my opinion one of Austria's best dark beers.
The landscape around Villach is nice, some picturesque lakes. An other thing is to go up to the "Kanzel" above the Ossiacher See. Funicular, wonderful view, Up there also some restaurants.
