Tehran Women's Golf in Iran
Posted: Sun February 18, 2007 12:04 AM UTC
I'm a freelance golf writer and would like to play golf in Iran. I've heard that women are now playing quite a bit and even competing. I'v heard there's a particular dress code which includes a specially conceived scarf. I'd like to know if those who live or have traveled in Iran (Tehran particularly) feel that this type of activity would be do-able in the context of the social structure. Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I have no idea about golf, never seen a golf course anywhere in Iran, perhaps there's one on Kish island. There's a woman rally driver in Iran who is famous all over the country and immensely popular, that's all I can say.
