If you want to see diverse culture - check out the main Bilbao Mosque.

You learn something new every day... never heard of a Mosque in Bilbao, at least of one that's worth visiting

I would sugest to check http://www2.bilbao.net/bilbaoturismo/index_ingles.htm

Some nice places to visit:
- Mercado de la Ribera (said to be the biggest covered market of Europe)
- San Antón Church
- St. James Cathedral...

And, of course, get lost around the Casco Viejo (old town) and sample some Pitxos and Txacoli ;)

THe Transporter Bridge up the river is the oldest of its type. You can buy a ticket and walk across the top. Over the river from the Guggenheim and heading back along the river to the Arsenal is a funicular that goes up above the city. Nice view across the city and a small memorial to some of the units that fought Franco in the Spanish Civil war. Walk along the river from the Guggenheim towards the Arsenal and see how the city is being improved. And yes you must go to Casco Viejo to enjoy awealth of bars and cafes. Plaza Nuevo is worth seeing and lastly walk along the river beyond the Arsenal to the indoor market. It's no supermarket and you'll be amazed what they sell. The fishmarket is amazing if you can stand the smell of fresh fish.

Hi there, it depends on how much time you'll spend there... never heard of a mosque in Bilbao, and I've spent most of my life there.
For one day you should just stay in Bilbao, and do the Guggenheim and the Fine arts museum (5 mins walk from the guggenheim and worth a visit, there is a special ticket for both museums) and the casco viejo, if you want to eat pintxos go to the plaza nueva at the old part of the city, casco viejo.

If you have another day I'll suggets you to go to Getxo (15min by underground, is by the seaside) http://www.getxo.net/cas/turis/folleto1/pagina1i.asp

Around Bilbao there are a lot of towns along the coast that are very nice like Mundaka, well known among all the surfers of the world because of its wave...
