I was wondering if anyone had pictures of the rooms or beach at hotel pasatiempo. And if not could anyone give me a description of the walk to the beach and the beach itself and a description of the rooms....thanks

I have no picturesbut the rooms are simple clean and safe. They have suspended chairs you can sit on and relax in the peaceful lush surroundings on the porch.Nice swimming pool. Great staff, great breakfast {eggs benedicts}. It's not on the beach but close enough. The road to it is quite dusty though as there are a lot of constructions going on in Tamarindo. The beach itself is beautiful and quite long. If you walk to the right side for about a half hour, you reach the end of that beach and you can take a small motor boat {5 minutes ride, 2000 colones} to playa grande. If you are as lucky as I was, you'll have the whole beach to youself. Swim carefully though because the undercurrent is quite strong. Have a nice time. Say Hi! to Ron at pasatiempo.

Hello, I have been to Costa Rica three times in the past two years and have spent a significant amount of time at Pasatiempo. The staff is great, they have live music on Tuesdays, which is awesome and it is a great location. It is about a five minute walk from the beach, if that. I would definately recommend it!
