Hi my father is from Zambia, Central Africa and my mother is from Guyana i am having a function here in Zambia and i would like to dress like a Guyanaese young woman or lady in the traditional/cultural dress code of Guyana please help me i have tried the net but to no avail.

guyana has no traditional dress. our ansestors were mainly fron ghana . so naturally in the sixties we adopted sone semblence of the ghanian way of dress,
festival times we wear costumes that are designed for dancing and prancing in. wear whaterve you feel elegant in - formal occasion

Strange you are asking this question on forum. Why didn't ask your mother isn't she from Guyana. Also, how does she adress?
