Personally (& I've been to Naxos 6 times) I've never found leather-goods there to be of much interest. All is kinda "clunky." An unique Naxian product may be their Kitron, the citrus-based liqueur that's made ONLY in Naxos.. they have inexpensive "threesome" mini-bottle sets of the 3 Kitron varieties @ 6-8E the set. Naxian crafts & silver jewelry are also attractive... wander the Agora lanes & check it out.

On the street coming up from the waterfront, it is a sort of principal street, there is a shop owned by a woman who weaves the most beautiful textiles. I have a paper bag in front of me with the sticker of her shop, but in Greek! The street name seems to be Kenthma & Kophto.

It's nice to stay there. Whenever I go there, I always buy T-shirts for my friends. There were a slew of shops dealing with T-shirts. But recently I found a shop owned by a fashionable French lady, and opened just in summer season. She designes dorphines and some others on her shirts and print hers on thick cotton not like typical Greek materials(whose are little bit thin and too soft to break easily). All my friends are pleased to get my choice and so, am I. Sorry for my memory. I can't remember the shop name and phone. But it located near the castle. A tiny shop. Don't miss it! And, Enjoy your holidays!
