Looking for baseball tickets!
Posted: Sun February 11, 2007 09:00 PM UTC
Well I found the schedule for the Yomiuri Giants and see that they play in Tokyo on May 11,12,and 13 but I cant find a place that sells tickets .. at least in english. Does anyone know of a number I could call ( I have Skype so I can call Japan if I need to ) or a website where I could buy a couple of tickets for one of these games?

The tickets of the games will be released on 31st of March.

You can order them on the net or phone but I don't believe they neither have an English operator nor overseas shipping services. Then, of course you can buy them on the ticket bureax.

Details are shown as below

Sorry that those references are all Japanese...

Good luck!

Firstly, let me just say thank you for the information provided. Secondly, in relation the the ticket office idea, do you happen to know if it is possible to purchase the tickets at the stadium on the day of the game?

Ive heard from some places that if its a Yomiuri Giants game, that the tickets will be sold out anyways. However, on another forum, a person said that he went to a couple Giants games and just walked up and bought the tickets. Im just trying to figure out if he got lucky or if some people on the internet have just overgeneralized the availability of Giants tickets..

You heard that right that the tickets for the Giants games are comparatively hard to get. But if you don't mind of which seat you will have in the stadium, you will be able to purchase a ticket on the day of the game at a ticket office. If it's not the Giants game, I rarely purchase a ticket in advance. And I SUPPOSE, at the ticket offices, the tickets will be released on the day before the game.

One thing more to tell you to let you feel comfortable, the dates you are thinking to watch the games is just after what we call "the golden week" that is the week of continuous holidays between April 28th and May 6th this year. The local people (including me!) will not have any spare money to have fun just after the Golden Week. So it may be easier to get a ticket than common days.

Hi guys,

Sorry to barge in on your question but I was just wondering if you (Angela) managed to work out any way to buy the ticket other than to just turn up on the day ??

Also, a couple of other things if you know the answer please ...

- Do you know approximately what the price range of tickets are ??

- I am planning to be in Tokyo from 9th-12th and 14th-17th of June this year and was thinking about going to a game if I could (as i've never done a baseball game before !!). I looked at the link for the schedule that stonefree provided and although my Japanese is non-existent then it looks like there is a game on nights of the 10th and 11th of June at 1800. Does this seem correct ??

Thanks for any help,
Darren
