| La Paz | Accommodation in La Paz Posted: Sun February 11, 2007 06:12 PM UTC
We are coming to La Paz in late late september and would rather stay in accommodation that contributes to the local economy rather than a chain hotel!!
This could be in a family home or family run business. Does anyone know any contacts or have details based on experience? |

It is not a family home and I don't know whether it is a family-run business, but the Hotel Rosario certainly contributes to the local economy. It has the AYNI Room for sharing and many staff are of Aymara heritage. You may get better prices at the nearby Witch's Market, but you would be supporting local artists and craftspersons if you bought items in the Fair Trade Shop in the lobby.
