Haitian currency is the Gourde (HTG). Exchange is about 1USD = 39 HTG.
However the dollar is wide accepted.

They use the Haitian gourde (pronounced gewd/goohd). However they also use a currency called a haitian dollar. At one point a haitian dollar was equal to a US dollar. Many things are sold in Haitian dollars, but all the money is still in gourdes, so theres some math involved. 5 gourdes is a haitian dollar. Like the other person said, its about 39 gourdes per US dollar (7.5 haitian dollars to a US dollar) and US currency is widely accepted, sometimes even perferred. When asking a price, make sure you know if its in gourdes, haitian $ or US $.
