The city is called Nezahualcoyotl, I have a friend living there. What is this place like? Is it safe, is it big, is it crowded? Anything would help. THANKS!

Neza City is part of what we call DF (Distrito Federal) or Mexico City... so yes is a big part of Mexico City and a population like 1.5 mill
No is not safe... so be aware of the place.

Not a nice part of the city... safe? I would say so but don't walk at nights by yourself.

No, I'm definitely not walking around at night, just taking a bus through it during the daytime, from 8-12 in the morning

Passing through Neza should be fine; I don't suggest stopping to look around, though. I believe it's outside the D.F. limits, in the state of Mexico, though - and on the way to Puebla/Oaxaca/Tlaxcala/Veracruz, etc.

Nezahualcoyotl is part of mexico city, and about your question is it safe, well just think like if you go to New York. Yes is big and has a lot of polution. But is fun and has lots to do there. But don't rent a car used the metro or taxi ask price befor you get in. Don't show money or take gold. good luck and have fun I did.
