Hi,
We are deciding between 2 hotels in parati for our honeymoon and are wondering if anyone has stayed at either The Pousada Do Ouro or The Pousada Arte Urquijo? What did you think? Thank you.

I guess that both of them has a good and central location in Paraty, but from the webside I guess that (for me) I would choose the Urquijo..very neat and unique style!

My fiancee's family's from Paraty (they've been living there for more than 200 years) and my fiancee has never listened about Pousada Arte Urquijo. Now, looking at the site mangueirense mentioned, I notice that it's very close to Pousada do Ouro, in the Historic Center. Maybe it's good, I don't know.

Pousada do Ouro, however, is very well known. Marcelo Mastroiani and Tom Cruise stayed in this hotel, when they went to Paraty, so I think it's more "guaranteed" than the other.

There are other hotels in the Historical Center or very close to it (I prefer to stay close than to stay inside the Center). All are next to each other. Since my future wife family is all from Paraty, be welcome to ask other questions you can have.
