Hi, I'd like to know if any of you have ever travelled from Armenia to Iran by bus, and about the visa system. Is it possible to get iranian visa in Armenia? And how much does the bus trip cost?

In June 2006 I travelled from Yerevan to Tabriz. The jourmey took 18 hours, but I had been told it was going to take 14 hours so I guess we arrived a bit late to Tabriz. We were only two passengers going off the bus in Tabriz and all others continued to Tehran. The price of the ticket was 17 000 drams (about 40 dollars) and the price was the same to Tabriz as to Tehran.

Oh, thanks a lot, and where did you buy the ticket? Which bus company was that? You left from Central Bus Station I guess?

I bought my ticket from Tatev Travel in Yerevan. I sent them an email a few weeks before going and got a confirmation, but didn't have to pay the ticket until I came to Yerevan. The bus leaves from Kilikya Avtokayan.
