Istanbul Ili	trying the train Posted: Wed February 7, 2007 08:52 AM UTC Around end of Feb 07 I wanna get the sleeper train from Thessalonika to Istanbul: I know, inefficient, why don't I fly etc. I'd just love to try it! Has anyone else done this and survived? Also how much is a visa and how do I pay? And finally - what's the railway station and surrounding area like (e.g. how unsafe, confusing, near to the sites)?
