can you tell me if the flanders field museum is open on the 12th and 13th of febuary because i would like to visit it on those dates thank you

It's not open on Mondays this time of the year. You'll have to go on Tuesday.

The museum is usually closed on Mondays but there are other smaller museums to visit. Walk along the ramparts from the Menin Gate to the Lille Gate (RijselPoort). The bar just inside the gate has a small and interesting collection to see. Visit St George's chapel which is an interesting site for British memorial plaques and the like. Outside Ypres Hooge Crater has a museum whilst just down the road is the road to Hill 60 and a small museum. There are plenty of memorials and cemeteries to visit and Major Holt's guide has a useful map to help get around. You can hire a bike at the Railway station and it's a great way of touring the battlfield memorials.
