RE: Getting around and possible dangers Posted: Sun February 4, 2007 05:33 PM UTC
hmmm
- there IS uneven paths, stones all over.
- there is NO handrails
- there IS a long uphill slope
BUT if you start from the entrance on the top you will only have DOWN hill :)
Do arrange for transportation to pick you up from the bottom entrance (main)
I would say that if you have a stock/crutches (spelling?) and maybe someone to lean on you will be fine.
Do remember it can be HOT (I survived fine on a very very hot august day).
You can buy water inside (only near the library) so do bring atleast a 1 litre bottle per person (or more).
If you havent already, do take a vewi on all the photos taken on Ephesus here at vt http://www.virtualtourist.com/travel/Middle_East/Turkey/Izmir_Ili/Ephesus-1844014/TravelGuide-Ephesus.html
This have an opening photo taken ca 1/3 down the hilliest place, further up it is not so flat.
