Ithaca Vineyard/Wine Tasting tours

Any suggestions on particularly impressive vineyards? I've been to a few, but that was almost a decade ago. I'm not informed about the best places now. Emphasis would be on having fun and a relaxed atmostphere...thanks in advance!

It's been about a year and a half since I went to the wineries, but I've been on the Cayuga and Seneca wine trails 5-6 times each and the Keuka Trail once. These are the ones that I've been consistently impressed with - not only for the good wines, but for the atmosphere and/or the staff (friendliness and knowledge).

I've listed them by Trail and in order of my favorites.

Cayuga: Lucas, Lakeshore, Swedish Hill/ Goose Watch (these two are owned by the same people. Goose Hill is newer, has a nicer tasting room, and more unsual wines, but they are more expensive and the workers weren't as friendly. Swedish Hill has more traditional and cheaper wines and friendlier staff). AVOID AMERICANA - bad wine, rude people!

Seneca: Glenora (by far the best), Fox Run, Hazlitt, Wagner

Keuka: Bully Hill

Hi,

Heard abt the wineries in the area... Guess we hv to drive in order to reach there? No other alternatives like bus or cycle? Any contacts of the wineries which I can call to get their start/end times?
